People always tell you to do something that you're interested in, but most people I know end up doing just that yet hating it. I guess because we all have interests, but interests change over time.

I have no idea what to major in/have a career in. I know for a fact that I love computers and the internet. Over the next 20 years, I can't see myself NOT being on a computer or doing something on the internet. It's more than just an interest, if that makes sense. I also adore working in groups on a project. It's a passion and I think it makes the entire project better overall.

Any ideas? Any career tests/quizes you know of online?

Looking back on my career path and those of my peers, I'd say you're right. At every stage of maturity, you can find you've lost interest in what you've accomplished so far...and new compelling challenges become elusive..and costly to pursue.

I'd say the "best" strategy at the beginning, is to study the most useful combination of subjects for who you are, at the time. So in your case I'd recommend a technical major and some courses in management studies and project management (both of which you can upgrade at any and every point in your future). Management studies (economics, marketing, finance) and project management are both independent of any technology specialties and they both will involve you in the broader aspects of working with people on interesting challenges....at every stage of your life. The good part is that you'll eventually become expert and adept at helping others resolve their issues in a variety of industry and market sectors, which seems to be your strength and your passion.

Hint: Check out some of the resume writing books and online guides. The process of developing a CV or resume is the same, really, as preparing yourself for selecting a career or picking the right courses of study to qualify for a career based on your personality type and range of interests and/or skills.
