I am a bit confused about taking an office engineer offer vs Field engineer offer. The difference:
Office (more pay but less technical) vs Field ( less pay but lot of learning)
Office ( close to friends and family) vs Field ( away from family and friends for a while)
Office ( stay in warm office) vs Field ( -40 C )
Office ( pay increase by 7000 per yr) vs Field ( pay increase 15,000 per yr).
I am a new grad Engineer so I would appreciate some feedback.
Thank You :)

If it were me, I'd take the field engineer job while I was young and full of vigor. Then when it became too much to bear, I'd find a nice office job. Seriously, actual field experience is very valuable and will help greatly for your office job later in life. Good luck to you!

What was your major?

Mechanical and Industrial Engineers typically work 70% office, 30% field/plant floor

Electrical typically work 90% office.

Civil I would say is about 60%/40%
