The answer to when you can start working makes a huge difference in whether or not you get hired. If they are looking for someone to start now you will not get hired if you put the start date 3 weeks out. You can put today's date as a start date if you are serious about getting hired and are ready to have a job.

If you can work now, meaning you don't have to quit another job or you don't have a vacation scheduled next week, you put down 'Immediately' or 'ASAP'.

This isn't a trick question - don't overthink it.

You can put immediately or a specific date a few weeks from now.
